LIFE University introduced Lights of LIFE to the local community in 1989. It has now grown to be one of the most popular light shows in the Southeast, attracting nearly half a million spectators from the surrounding region. Drive through the spectacularly illuminated campus which features more than one million lights, arranged to create charming vignettes. Stop along the 1.5-mile drive to enjoy an array of seasonal entertainments. Displays include a nativity scene, a menorah, a 60 foot tall Christmas tree, and numerous stationary and animated holiday displays. In addition, there is a 65 foot tall rendition of Santa and his sleigh that is the tallest display in the Southeast. Each year, the Lights of LIFE display is a little different, making the experience unique from one year to the next. Concession stands offer seasonal drinks and snacks for purchase. Lights of LIFE is a zero-profit operation. Per-vehicle fees go to offset the cost of electricity and those associated with ongoing operations.
Founded in 1974, Life University is a health sciences institution most known for its Doctor of Chiropractic program, the largest single-campus chiropractic program in the world. LIFE’s 110-acre campus in Marietta, Georgia, just northwest of Atlanta, is home to more than 2,700 undergraduate, graduate and professional students who come from all 50 United States and more than 45 countries.
