James H. Floyd State Park is located in North West Georgia on the southern end of the Armuchee Ridges. This is a good beginners hike which almost anyone should be able to do. The hiking distance is only about 5 miles and half of that is around the lakes at the park. There is a climb onto the ridge of about 600 feet.
Based on interest, we may rent kayaks to spend time on the lakes. There will be an extra cost to rent kayaks
Optional: On our return back home, we may stop at Berry College, Rome GA and visit the campus.
