Take advantage of the Spring rains to see some of the best waterfalls in North Georgia. This is a beginner’s hike. The total distance will be about 5 miles and will be spread between car trips to the various waterfall locations.
We will visit the following waterfalls:
Dukes Creek Falls (2 miles)
Vogel State Park – Lake Trail and Falls Bottom (1 mile)
Helton Creek Falls (0.5 miles)
DeSoto Falls – Upper and Lower (1.5 miles)
Things to bring:
– Backpack / Day pack
– Layered clothing / jacket
– Gloves / Cap
– Lunch / Snacks
– Water (1 – 1.5 liters)
– Hiking Shoes / Tennis shoes / Sneakers
– Camera
