James H. Floyd State Park is located in North West Georgia on the southern end of the Armuchee Ridges. This is a good beginners hike which almost anyone should be able to do. Kids are welcome to join their parents on this hike. The hiking distance is only about 5 miles and half of that is around the lake at the park. There is a small climb onto the ridge of about 600 feet. Hike to an old marble mine with a small waterfall and continue the loop trail around a lake
Optional: On our return back home, we may stop at Berry College, Rome GA and visit the campus.
