James H. Floyd State Park is located in North West Georgia on the southern end of the Armuchee Ridges. Come and enjoy the beautiful Fall weather. This is a good beginners hike which almost anyone should be able to do. The hiking distance is only about 5 miles and half of that is around the lakes at the park. There is a climb onto the ridge of about 600 feet.
Optional: On our return back home, we may stop at Berry College, Rome GA and visit the campus.
