Kennesaw Mountain National Battlefield Park is a 2,923 acre National Battlefield that preserves a Civil War battleground of the Atlanta Campaign. Opposing forces maneuvered and fought here from June 19, 1864 until July 2, 1864. Although most famous as a Civil WarDSC00980 battlefield, Kennesaw Mountain has a much richer story.

We will be hiking a 5.5 miles loop from the Visitor Center to Pigeon Hill. After the hike we will spend a little time touring the Visitor Center.

Things to bring: – Lunch or snacks – Water (2 liters) – Hiking Shoes & Pole – Layered clothing – Hat and maybe gloves – Camera (optional)
