Start the New Year off right with a hike. We are even starting later so you can get some extra sleep after the New Years festivities. Many people have walked up the main walk-up trail to the top of Stone Mountain but not many have walked the trail through the woods, around the lakes and around the side of the mountain. This is where the Cherokee Trail will take you and it’s a great opportunity to see parts of Stone Mountain park that you may not have seen before. The hike is about 5.5 miles long and will take about 3 hours to complete. It may be 2 miles longer if we decide to include the walk up trail to the top of the mountain.

Things to bring:
Good tennis shoes, hiking shoes or boots
1 – 1.5 litres of water
Snacks, Packed Lunch
Layered clothing
Small backback or waistpack (to carry above items)
Camera (optional)
