A hike to the falls in 3.6 miles and return to the day-use area for 7.2-mile day hike. You follow a beautiful tumbling, cascading stream through a steep-sided valley with rocky cliffs to the dramatic and impressive Panther Creek Falls. The trail leads down to the pool for a grand view of the falling water and the large pool catching it. The trail continues through some especially grand hardwood stands. The USDA Forest Service has designated parts of this area as a Protected Botanical Area.
For those brave enough you can take a swim in the pool at the waterfall and climb onto the rocks under the falls. Highly recommended to cool off on the hike.
