This is a new hike that we have never done before. The Bartram Trail is named after William Bartram who was an 18th century naturalist. The trail is 110 miles long. It starts in Northeast Georgia, not far from Clayton, and ends in Western North Carolina. We will hike the first 9.5 miles of it, starting at Russell Bridge and ending at Sandy Ford Road. It offers a great Southern Appalachian experience. The hike although fairly long doesn’t have a lot of elevation change.

As we are hiking the trail in only one direction we will shuttle cars.
